Yang Metal: the sword

2026 is the Fire Horse year (丙午). For Yang Metal, its stem is Seven Killings (七杀): a year of pressure and power. The warrior star. The year brings challenge, deadlines and pressure, and with them the chance to prove yourself and rise. Courage and discipline turn it into one of your most powerful years.

2027 is the Fire Goat year (丁未). For Yang Metal, its stem is Direct Officer (正官): a year of recognition and responsibility. The star of status, reputation and doing things properly. Promotions, titles and recognition come to those who play by the rules, and responsibility comes with them. A good year for commitment, at work and in love.

In Chinese astrology (BaZi), your Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of the day you were born, the part of your chart that stands for you. Yang Metal (庚) is pictured as the sword. Yang Metal is raw ore and the forged blade. People with this Day Master are decisive, courageous and just, with a strong sense of right and wrong and loyalty that does not waver.

It comes from your exact birth date, not your birth year, so it is not the same as your zodiac animal. Enter your birth date in the free Chinese element calculator; your birth time and birthplace are optional and complete the rest of your chart.

No. Your zodiac animal comes from your birth year, so everyone born that year shares it. Your Day Master comes from your birth day, which is why it says more about you personally. Chinese astrology reads the Day Master first.

In the generating cycle, Earth feeds Metal, so Yang Earth and Yin Earth Day Masters are your natural supporters. Metal in turn nourishes Water, so you tend to bring out Yang Water and Yin Water Day Masters. A full reading looks at both whole charts, not only the Day Masters.

Every Day Master has its own strengths. What matters is balance: whether the rest of your chart supports your Day Master or drains it, and which elements bring it into balance. That is what your free reading shows.
