Name in Ink (“we”) runs this website. These terms apply when you use the site or buy artwork, and by doing so you agree to them.

What Name in Ink provides

Name in Ink suggests Chinese characters for English names and words and renders them in calligraphy styles using licensed brush fonts. Suggestions for names in our library are chosen individually; each option shows its pronunciation and the meaning of every character so you can decide for yourself. Characters you enter yourself are rendered as typed.

Tattoos

A tattoo is permanent. Before getting one, show your characters and their meaning to a fluent reader and follow your tattoo artist's advice on size, placement and line weight. The skin preview is an illustration and cannot show how a tattoo will look on your body or after healing. We are not responsible for tattoo work carried out by others.

Purchases and your files

  • Prices are shown before checkout and charged once. There is no subscription.
  • Files are generated right after payment and delivered on your order page and by email.
  • You may use the files for personal purposes, including prints, gifts, wall art and tattoos. You may not resell the files themselves or offer them as a product or template to others.

Refunds

If something is wrong with your files, for example they fail to download or do not match what you chose, write to [email protected] within 14 days of purchase. We will fix it or refund you in full. Because files are delivered instantly, we do not otherwise offer refunds for change of mind, but if you are unhappy, tell us and we will do our best to help.

Acceptable use

Do not use Name in Ink to create content that is unlawful, hateful or infringes someone else's rights, and do not try to disrupt or scrape the service.

Liability

Name in Ink is provided with care but without warranties beyond those required by law. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
